How to Play Anime Vanguards
Anime Vanguards is a Roblox tower defense game. You summon anime-inspired units, place them beside enemy lanes, upgrade them with Yen earned from kills, and prevent enemies from draining your life stocks.
What you are doing
Anime Vanguards is a tower defense game where you place summoned units on maps to stop enemies from reaching the end of their path. Each enemy that escapes removes one of your three life stocks. Lose all three and the stage fails.
You earn Yen by killing enemies. Use Yen during a stage to place more units or upgrade existing ones. Units auto-attack enemies in range; your job is positioning and resource management.
First session checklist
When you start the game, you get three free starter units: Ichiga, Luffo, and Narutu. All are Rare rarity and will be replaced soon, so pick any one and move on. Narutu tends to be popular for early damage output.
- Complete the tutorial to learn controls
- Play Story Mode stages to earn Gems and Gold
- Open Summon and spend 50 Gems per roll to get better units
- Go to Inventory, click a new unit, and press Equip to use it in stages
- Build a team with at least one AoE unit and one strong single-target DPS
- Place AoE units on bends so they hit enemies from two directions
How summoning works
In the lobby, open Areas and teleport to Summon. Banners cost 50 Gems per roll or 500 Gems for a 10-roll. Units come in seven rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Secret, Exclusive, and Vanguard, with higher rarities being stronger.
After summoning a unit, open Inventory, click the unit card, and press the green Equip button. Only equipped units can be placed in stages. You can equip up to six units at a time.
Story Mode and early progression
Story Mode is your main Gem source. Clear stages to earn Gems and unlock harder maps. Focus your Yen upgrades on one main carry unit during a stage rather than spreading resources too thin.
As you progress, aim to build a balanced team: one or two DPS units for boss damage, one or two AoE units for wave clear, and support or farm units to boost income or buffs.
