How to Play 99 Nights in the Forest

99 Nights in the Forest is a Roblox co-op survival horror game. Gather wood and food by day, stay near your campfire at night, upgrade camp, rescue missing children, and keep going until the day counter hits 99.

What you are trying to do

You land in a cursed forest with a campfire as your home base. Days are for gathering, crafting, and exploring. Nights are when the forest’s worst threats — including the Deer — become most dangerous.

A run is about lasting until day 99, keeping the fire fuelled, and rescuing the missing children. Classes and some currencies persist in the lobby between runs; dying or leaving mid-match throws away that night’s progress.

First nights

A reliable opening looks like this:

  • Gather logs and food around the starting camp
  • Feed the campfire and learn how far its light reaches
  • Loot the closest structures for tools and scrap
  • Craft storage and a bed when you can
  • Be back at camp before dark once nights get dangerous

Solo vs friends

The game is built for co-op (up to a small squad). Solo is possible but harder: you must gather, cook, defend, and rescue without splitting jobs. If you are stuck, a coordinated group is usually the faster path to day 99.
