Guides/99 Nights in the Forest

Missing Children Rescue Guide

There are four missing children to rescue. Each rescue speeds up the day multiplier, so you reach day 99 with fewer brutal late nights. Prepare weapons, food, and healing before you enter a guarded rescue area.

Why rescues are the real clock

Surviving passively until 99 is slower and more dangerous. Rescuing children increases how fast days advance, which is how strong teams skip a chunk of the worst nights.

Treat all four as the story objective. Exact ending presentation can change with updates — the practical goal is still: find them, extract them, do not wipe the squad in the compound.

When to go

Do not rush a rescue on night 2 with a stick. Get a campfire upgrade, a real weapon, food, and healing first. Start the attempt early in the day so you have daylight for the walk back.

Guarded locations hit unprepared players. If the team is starving or the fire is low, fix camp first.

During the attempt

Assign jobs: one player watches the exit path, one carries healing, one focuses the fight. If someone goes down, decide quickly whether a revive is safe. A failed rescue you walk away from is better than a full party wipe.
