Anime Defenders Skill Trees Guide
Each unit has a branching Skill Tree with five possible final build paths. Choose paths that match your team's needs and the content you are tackling.
What Skill Trees are
Skill Trees are unique to Anime Defenders. Every unit has a branching skill tree that allows you to customize how the unit plays. Each tree has five possible final build paths, meaning two players using the same unit can build it completely differently.
Skill Tree choices are permanent once selected, so plan your build before committing resources.
How to navigate Skill Trees
Open a unit's Skill Tree menu from your inventory. You will see nodes connected by paths. Each node upgrades a stat or unlocks a new ability.
As you progress through the tree, you will reach branching points. Choose the path that matches your team's role: more damage, more range, faster attacks, or support buffs.
Five final builds
Each Skill Tree ends in five distinct final builds. Examples include pure DPS, AoE specialist, support buffer, tank, and hybrid builds.
Before choosing a final build, check what your team needs. If you lack wave clear, pick the AoE path. If you need boss damage, pick the single-target DPS path.
Skill Tree priorities
Focus Skill Tree upgrades on units you plan to keep long-term. Do not invest heavily in units you will replace soon.
Unlock damage and range nodes early, then move to final build paths as you progress. Support paths are best saved for late-game content where team synergy matters.
