Anime Defenders Summons & Units

Summon units with Gems or Lucky Tickets at rotating banners. Units come in seven rarities. Each banner has a pity counter that guarantees a rare unit after a set number of pulls.

How summoning works

Visit the Summon area and choose a banner. Summons cost Gems or Lucky Tickets. Each banner features specific boosted units and has a pity counter that guarantees a rare unit after a set number of pulls.

Units are split into seven rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, Secret, Exclusive, and Ancient. Higher rarities have better base stats and stronger abilities.

Gems and Lucky Tickets

Gems are the primary summoning currency. You earn them from Story stages, daily missions, weekly missions, Challenges, Raids, AFK mode, and codes.

Lucky Tickets are alternate summoning currency earned from special events and milestones. Check which banners accept Tickets before spending.

What to summon for

Early on, build a functional team instead of chasing the rarest units. You need wave clear (AoE damage), boss damage (single-target DPS), and support (buffs or healing).

The current consensus best unit is Shadow Dragon (Exclusive rarity, 0.30% from a Divine Wish). However, a well-built Legendary unit can carry you through most content.

Banner types

Standard banners feature the full unit pool. Featured banners boost specific units and are the best time to summon if you need those units. Event banners use event currency instead of Gems.
