How to Play Anime Defenders

What you are doing

Anime Defenders is a tower defense game where you place units along enemy paths and upgrade them mid-battle to strengthen their damage. If an enemy reaches your base, your HP depletes. If your base HP reaches zero, you lose.

Each stage has several waves of enemies. Clear all waves to complete the stage and earn rewards like Gems, Gold, and other resources.

First session checklist

When you start, follow these steps:

• Complete the tutorial to learn basic placement and upgrades
• Clear early Story stages to earn Gems and Gold
• Visit the Summon area and use Gems to roll for units (50 Gems per roll)
• Equip your best units in your lineup before starting stages
• Build a balanced team: DPS for bosses, AoE for wave clear, support for buffs
• Use Gold during stages to place units and upgrade them

Summoning and units

Visit the Summon area and use Gems to summon new units. Units come in seven rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, Secret, Exclusive, and Ancient, with higher rarities being stronger.

Each unit has an element type, a random Trait that modifies its stats, and a Skill Tree with five possible final build paths. Two players using the same unit can play it completely differently based on their Skill Tree choices.

Story Mode and progression

Story Mode is your main progression path. Clear stages to unlock new maps, earn Gems for summons, and collect Gold for in-battle upgrades.

After Story, you can tackle Challenges for stronger materials, Raids for rare rewards, and Infinite Mode to test how far your team can go.
