Anime Defenders Tips, Tricks & Strategy
Place economy units first, use AoE for wave clear, save heavy DPS for bosses, and upgrade efficiently. Focus Gems on summons that fill team gaps.
Unit placement strategy
Place economy or cheap units first so early waves do not drain your resources. Use AoE damage units for wave clear and save heavier single-target DPS for bosses and elites.
Position AoE units where they can hit multiple enemy paths or clusters. Place single-target DPS near the end of the path to focus fire on tougher enemies.
Upgrade priority
Upgrade your main DPS units first, then AoE units for wave clear, and finally support units. Do not spread Gold too thin by upgrading every unit equally.
Watch your income. If you are low on Gold, stop placing new units and focus on upgrading what you already have.
Gem spending efficiency
Do not dump Gems into summons without checking whether your team really needs wave clear, boss damage, or support. Featured banners with boosted rates are the best time to summon.
Save Gems for important banners instead of spending on every new unit. A focused roster beats a bloated one.
Story, Challenge, and Infinite Mode
Story opens maps and is your main Gem source. Challenge helps with stronger materials and is better when you need a specific drop. Infinite Mode tests your team's scaling and is great for proving whether your lineup really works.
Once evolution unlocks, prioritize units that will stay in your runs for a long time instead of the flashiest short-term pull.
