RIVALS Tips, Tricks & FPS Strategy
Keep your crosshair near angles, use cover first, swap weapons instead of reloading in the open, and mix your movement to stay unpredictable.
Crosshair placement
Always keep your crosshair near the next angle an enemy is likely to peek. Pre-aiming saves reaction time and wins gunfights before they start.
Practice holding angles while staying behind cover. Expose only enough of your body to take the shot, then re-center before pushing a second line.
Cover discipline
Play cover first. Do not peek in the open or repeat the same angle after being spotted. Use cover to reset, reload, or swap weapons safely.
If you are caught reloading in a bad spot, swap to your secondary weapon instead of finishing the reload. The Handgun is faster than dying mid-reload.
Movement discipline
Repeated movement becomes readable. Mix grounded peeks, delayed pushes, and slide-jump routes to stay unpredictable.
Sprint-slide-jump should take you between cover, not turn every peek into a predictable jump. Save mobility for repositioning, not for jumping into fights.
Learn from lost rounds
Treat each round as new information. Watch where the opponent opens, which lane they repeat, and whether they push after utility. A lost round can still show you which angle needs cover or which slot is not answering the fight.
Weapon unlock priority
Before spending Keys, decide whether you need closer burst, longer range, movement, defense, sightline control, or sustain. Do not unlock weapons randomly; pick tools that fill gaps in your current loadout.
